In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 90 of the Finance Act, (10 of 2000) the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the  Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 61/2000-Customs, dated the 12th May, 2000, namely:-

In the said notifications, in the table, after S.No.4B and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"4C.    Areca nuts falling under sub-heading No. 0802.90".
